1. We Japanese usually say “En no shita no chikaramochi (縁の下の力持ち)” instead of “engawa no shita no chikaramochi (縁側の下の力持ち)”. The translation is perfect.

2. “nodo mo to sugireba atsusa o wasureru” should be “nodomoto sugireba atsusa o wasureru”. The word “nodomoto” means “around the throat”.

I can’t seem to find any ‘japanese’ version of it however, not in kanji/kana.
