Ideally i would like hime to have a well rounded visit there, cultural, history, and art – can you direct me to organizations of people who could help me organize such a visit?

Capturing your opponent’s stones is not the goal… aggression is self-defeating. The flow of the game, reversals in sente and gote, can turn on a dime.

After playing go for a while, chess starts to feel like checkers. It’s almost trivial to read the situation on a chess board and make a move almost instantly.

Been too enthralled in Go to consider splitting my mental resources. Probably will someday, though :-)

@ Van: Signed away to a good cause, mate ;-)

Oh no, in that I was hoping to meet up with you on my next trip to Japan for a laminated cheat sheet. Good for you, if it’s good for you. I’m only six months in to nihongo studies, but I’m loving it and have your cheat sheet to thank for an easier time of it.
